Scott James is an author and veteran journalist, best known for his stories in The New York Times. He’s currently at work on the new book Into the Fire, published next year, about the deadliest fire in modern American history, where 100 people in a nightclub died in 90 seconds.

James has received three Emmy awards for his work in television news, and is also the author of two bestselling novels, SoMa and The Sower, which he wrote under the pen name Kemble Scott.
